Elements of mineralogy and geology of cement raw materials, assessment of the raw- material mineral deposits. Quarrying methods, operation and equipment. Raw mix preperation operations: size reduction and air seperator systems in cement plants, concepts of particle size distribution and fineness, blending.

Course Content

Main principles for power distribution network and process automation of the cement plants. Computer aided process and quality control systems, engineering principles for plant air and water network, the mechanical aspects for kilns, mills and other main equipments, wearing phenomena in cement manufactoring process, sustainable developments in cement industry and general management systems for cement plant operation.
