  • A strong theoretical background on the core Industrial/Organizational psychology topics such as job analyses, competency modeling, performance evaluation and management, training, personnel selection, motivation, leadership, and job attitudes.
  • Knowledge and sensitiveness for evaluating the reliability and validity of tools used for testing and evaluations.
  • General knowledge in terms of the content and psychometric properties of the assessment tools used in personnel selection, performance evaluation, and needs assessments.
  • Knowledge and skills for conducting job analyses, performance evaluations, training programs, organizational training programs, and personnel selection.
  • Skills in conducting research in I/O psychology-related topics, developing research questions and hypotheses, designing a research study, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting a research study.
  • Skills in utilizing the appropriate statistical methods and techniques for analyzing data.
  • Skills in using psychometrics to develop assessment tools for organizational needs assessment or the assessment of job attitudes.
  • Skills in using theoretical Industrial/Organizational psychology knowledge in organizational applications.
  • Skills in identifying organizational problems using scientific methods, their evaluation and proposing solutions.
  • Skills in following the local and international literature on I/O psychology.
  • Skills in Turkish and English oral and written communication and giving I/O-related presentations to crowded audiences.
