ECTS Credit:8.0
Department:Physics
Language of Instruction:English
Level of Study:Graduate
Course Coordinator:
Offered Semester:Fall and Spring Semesters.

Course Objectives

This course aims to introduce the students to the various modern concepts such as basics of axiomatic field theory, optical theorem, on-shell recursion relations, and positive geometry; in addition, the course aims to provide the students with various techniques in the framework of s-matrix and cosmological bootstraps.

Course Content

Preliminaries of quantum field theories; Lorentzian (Feynman) path integrals; Scattering matrix; Fundamental principles in field theories: Modern non-perturbative research programs

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of the semester, students should have conceptual grasp of bootstrap philosophy and current non-perturbative techniques in high energy physics and cosmology. Moreover, they should be able to understand how various techniques of bootstrap programs are utilized to solve or constrain field theories.
