Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify and analyze key issues in professional development for English language teachers.
  • Evaluate various professional development frameworks and strategies.
  • Understand the role of teacher research and action research in professional growth.
  • Collaborate with peers to design professional development activities and workshops.

Course Content

This course aims to raise EFL pre-service teachers awareness towards continuous professional development in face-to- face and online educational platforms and to develop the prospective teachers as reseachers by introducing them different forms of teacher research such as action research and exploratory practice.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

Engage in reflective practice to assess and improve their teaching competencies.
