Course Objectives

The course aims to provide the students with interdisciplinary skills at the intersection of design computation, performative architectural design and building performance. By the end of the course, the students are expected to have acquired the skills and knowledge on:design computation, specifically generative and data-driven techniques, applied on performative buildings.

 


Course Content

Computational design applied on performative architecture; research by design; design and prototyping for a small-scale architectural program; computational methods for modelling; simulation, optimization and prototyping; design context on architectural form generation and envelope design.
