The primary objectives of the course are to
- understand the current energy and environmental issues in Asia
- understand the general aspect of the geopolitics of energy in Asia
- understand environmental issues with respect to international agreements
- comprehend basic energy trends in Asia
Course Content
This course provides an overview of energy and environmental issues in Asia. The objective of the course is to understand contemporary issues of our time and identify challenges like climate change and energy security os Asia. It aims to show Asia`s significance and potential regional and global cooperation.
Course Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, students should be able to
- acquire a wider knowledge and realistic view of the current geopolitics of energy in Asia
- comprehend the overall energy transition in Asia within a broader regional and global context
- demonstrate a good understanding of the complex issues and theoretical and empirical debates among energy importers and exporters
