Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to 

  • define basic concepts related to character and value education
  • describe several classifications of values
  • differentiate between theories of character development
  • acknowledge the relationship between parenting styles and character development
  • identify the role of the school and the teacher in value education
  • list teaching methods that can be used in character and value education
  • relate the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance to value education
  • interpret research and literature on character education in Turkey and other countries
