Course Objectives

 

     Communication, a multidisciplinary field, appears as a significant element in every field and is not limited to verbal and written dimensions only. Works produced in the fields of fine arts and music usually tend to convey various messages to peoples and societies. In addition to creating influential and successful works, the effective messages that come with these works also keep them everlasting and contemporary. Therefore, communication is crucial in the fields of music and fine arts.

     In this course, it is aimed to gain knowledge and experience about the messages conveyed through the works of art in the field of music and fine arts to the society, as well as the methods and techniques with which these messages can be evaluated.

     Within the scope of this course, the concept of artistic communication (which is among the objectives of the course), the change of performing arts and traditional performing arts within the framework of communicative processes, and the importance of effective communicative process in these stages will be explained.


Course Content

New practical and theoretical approaches in varying art topics, plastic arts, cinema and theatre, contemporary art theories and practices, new technological developments and new media practices that can be integrated with artistic processes.
