Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students will comprehend Turkey's early childhood education system's essential components.
Course Content
Practice once a week or two half days a week in early childhood centers during a semester.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will recognize the early childhood education institutions in the scope of the purpose, structure, and functioning of the Turkish education system.
- Students will recognize the duties and responsibilities of preschool teachers who work in childhood education institutions.
- Students will explore the physical environment of preschools and classrooms.
- Students will criticize the structural elements of indoor and outdoor environments of early childhood education centers.
- Students will identify the main characteristics of indoor and outdoor play materials of early childhood education centers.
- Students will criticize the characteristics of teaching materials and types of equipment.
- Students will recognize the place and importance of child literature in early childhood education.
- Students will have information about ways to use books in early childhood education.
- Students will demonstrate an ability to make informative presentations.
- Students will gain a critical perspective on group work related to their profession.
