Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- critically examine latest research on well-being and happiness,
- understand key concepts in relation to positive psychology,
- understand factors that contribute to satisfying, engaging, and meaningful living,
- gain hands-on experience with many of the concepts explored,
- gain an understanding of how to apply scientific findings and theories in real-life situation.

The students will learn:
- the basics of the study of topics related to happiness and the positive aspects of human experience such as general well-being, character strengths, optimism, positive relationships, and prosocial behaviors
- the aspects of psychology which focus on “what is right with people” rather than what is wrong,
- main areas of basic and applied research in positive psychology,
- the methods that researchers use to study happiness,
- well-being enhancement interventions.
