Course Content

This course will explore the role of cinema as an important critical medium of international relations.It is part of a larger project of integrating cultural and media studies to international relations theory.The course analyzes how the cinema reproduces/criticizes dominant images and meanings of IR; adresses the main issues and theories of international relations from the perspective of different films in an attempt to integrate critical approaches in international relations theory with media and cultural studies.The subjects to be covered range from the classical issues of the use of force and coerced intervention to global justice,human rights and ecology,
