Course Objectives
This course is aimed at advanced student of all fields, especially for the future managers, who should be aware of the economic and political developments, not only in their regions but world-wide. The European Union, as the major economic and political player in the International arena, future managers should be aware of the full working of the EU and its relations with Turkey.
Therefore, working of the European Union and its effects on the Turkish Economy and the businesses will be the main theme of this course.
The students are expected to be at an advanced standing and have a current knowledge of international and national economic and political affairs.
Course Content
The European Union; institutions, micro-economic policies, tariff/non-tariff barriers, the common market, foreign trade relations, and Customs Union with Turkey and its effect on the Turkish economy and businesses, the future of the economic and political union in Europe; projections and discussions are covered in the course.
