Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will learn:
• The role of public budgeting in efficiently, effectively, and equitably allocating public resources
• Critical analysis of public sector financial resource management processes and strategies
• Management implications of contemporary financial resource management imperatives
• Various budgeting approaches adopted internationally and their applications
Course Content
This course critically examines the capacity of the public sector to efficiently, effectively and equitably allocation of public resources, critically reviews the public sector financial resource management processes and strategies, and critically analyses the management implications of contemporary financial resource management imperatives. A key element of the course is the budgeting approaches adopted internationally.
