Course Objectives
To introduce and expose students the business administration of the companies.
Course Content
Students are required to perform a minimum of 4-week (20 working days) summer practice at a factory of engineering firm to get acquainted with managerial work. Students are required to write a technical report reflecting their personal contributions concerning the managerial and engineering practices of the company.
Course Learning Outcomes
An understanding of the organizational structure of the company.
An understanding of the relation between different directorates/departments and the main responsibilities of each directorate/department.
An understanding of the project planning and management of the company.
An understanding of cost analysis and cost breakdown for a certain product of the coompany.
Ablity to find and interpret information.
Ability to conduct team work (within the discipline, multi-disciplinary, inter-disiplinary).
