Course Objectives

Students should be able to:
- gain an understanding of how human body works.
- understand the human body as a biological system
- explain the relationship between the form & function of human body parts
- learn the major organ systems of the body and associated functions
- identify the components and processes that exist in the human body system
- understand the interactions between parts within a system and between various systems
- understand the contribution of each system to homeostasis
Course Content
Basic principles of human anatomy and the fundamental mechanisms of human physiology. Structure and the functions of human body, its organization, regulation and maintenance systems, support, movement and integration-control systems, nervous system, hormones.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students who passed the course satisfactorily, will be able to:
- realized human body as a system, rather than as a collection of compartmentalized parts.
- acknowledge the dynamic relationships within and within a system
- organizing systems’ components, their processes, and their interactions, within a framework of relationships
- teach human body concepts to pre-school children
- employ different teaching strategies to teach human body systems to pre-school children
- use basic human body knowledge to design and suggest related activitie
