Course Objectives
1. To teach the recent discussions in the field of sociology.
2. To scrutinize concepts and theories critically.
3. To connect theories with specific cases.
Course Content
The purpose of this course is to follow up the most recent topics of discussion in sociology. Concepts and theories will be critically scrutinized in terms of logical consistency, empirical validity and the general relevance of the issues.
Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will be able to make connections between sociological theories and current global and local issues.
