Course Objectives
Students will become familiar with texts representing different periods and genres of English literature.
Students will be familiar with major works, concepts and trends of English literature between 8th and 18th Centuries.
Course Content
Studying literary texts representing different periods and genres of English literature.

Students will
- study advanced level literary texts representing different priods and genres of English literature.
- discuss the effect of the period on the literary work.
- compare different genres to one another another
- compare and contrast the works of the same genre keeping in mind the period and the authors/poets
