Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- Reviewing literature.
- Conducting a specific research.
- Writing a research report.
Course Content
The nature of research in science or mathematics education. Critical analysis of research paper. Reviewing literature, conducting a specific research by collecting and analyzing data, making interpretations, writing a research report according to APA style, and communicating its entirety with others.
Course Learning Outcomes
Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- determine research question related to science education
- grasp how to make literature search
- become knowledgeable about the related literature on the selected topic in science education
- be aware of data collection techniques
- interpret results of analyses
- rewrite the objectives written in Turkish national high school chemistry/physics curriculum.
- give examples of the practices of assessment techniques used in chemistry/physics teaching.
- point outs a gap in chemistry/physics education literature in a specific area.
