Course Objectives

Students are expected to learn basics of play therapy and how to conduct sessions with children, and they are expected to be able to evaluate the outcome of the sessions.


Course Content

Examination of techniques and basic procedures of individual therapy with an emphasis on dynamic and behavioral approaches. Role-playing, films, videotapes, audio tapes or observation of real-life therapy sessions may be utilized.


Course Learning Outcomes

Students are expected to learn play therapy practice from a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approach.
