Course Objectives
This course aims to provide students with a broad overview of key topics in social psychology. Throughout the course, students will explore both theoretical and empirical perspectives within the social psychology literature.
Course Content
Introduction to the field and methods of social psychology; historical perspective, review of theoretical and empirical work related to areas such as social perception, cognition, attitude formation, change and measurement.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Introduce students to a wide range of research and theories in both classic and contemporary social psychology.
- Develop an understanding of key debates within the field.
- Enhance students' ability to critically analyze social psychological theories and evaluate empirical research.
- Encourage students to apply social psychological theories to real-world issues.
