Course Objectives
The subject matter of this course is important for appreciating Quantum Mechanics and Classical Electromagnetism. At the end of the course, the student will be equipped with the necessary mathematical tools to comfortably follow even the advanced topics in these areas.
Course Content
Series; calculus of variations; integral transforms: integral equations; Green`s function.
Course Learning Outcomes
Fourier series, integral transforms (with special emphasis on Fourier and Laplace transforms), integral equations, calculus of variations, Green functions (one and three dimensional including "time-dependent" versions)
