Course Objectives
Interpret the sports branch's history, rules, etiquette, and sport-specific safety measures.
Analyse techniques, tactics, and sport-specific fitness components (e.g., agility, speed, power) in the sports branch.
Design a teaching plan applying specialized content knowledge (teaching steps for the sport-specific techniques) for beginner-intermediate level sports participants in the sports branch.
Apply the general field knowledge (rules, etiquette and behavior, safety precautions) while participating in sports.
Demonstrate the fundamental techniques and tactics of the sports branch.
Observe the social ecology in the sports branch (e.g., athletes, instructors/coaches, learning setting, competitions, policies)
Voluntarily participate in activities related to the sports branch.
Course Content
This course is designed to develop content knowledge specific to gymnastics sport. The scope of the course includes the historical development, rules, traditions, safety elements, basic movement skills, techniques, teaching steps and sport-specific physical fitness parameters of gymnastics
