Course Objectives

By the end of the course, the students will develop an independent project in science or mathematics education.
 


Course Content

A project-based course designed to help preservice teachers to work on a theoretical or practical need related to science and mathematics education and their applications in classroom settings. To the extent practical, students are expected to develop projects related to their own primary area of study and give a seminar.


Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, students will

  • develop an original project individually on a science/mathematics education topic
  • utilize the library, online, and printed materials for research
  •  take primary responsibility for developing a project and devote quality time
  • show motivation and effort in producing quality work
  • write a report of the study according to the APA style
  • meet the course instructor on a regular basis, presented in the tentative course schedule below, and present their progress
  • communicate their research practice in a scholarly environment as national or international conferences
