Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will understand:
- argumentation and argumentation-based science learning.
- the use of argumentation in science teaching.
Course Content
Significance of argumentation in chemistry education, the role of teachers in argumentation, epistemology of argumentation, applications of argumentation, the role of argumentation in understanding, assessment of quality of students arguments, argumentation-based science learning, examples of argumentations in chemistry education.
