Course Objectives

At the end of the course, student will be able to:

  • Ability to understand the basic principles of practice teaching.

Course Content

Field experience and teaching practice (minimum 12 weeks) including class observation, adaptation to classroom condition, planning and preparation for teaching. Guided teaching practice in science in elementary schools.


Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, student will be able to:

1.   Explain the importance of experience in practice teaching

2.   Explain the organization of classroom presentation

3.   Explain the role of participants in the teaching/learning process

4.   Appraise prospective teachers on practice teaching

5.   Grasp the meaning of the physical concepts in detail at the secondary school physics curriculum.

6.   Grasp specific physics topics taught in each of the grades 9-12 and knows where to gather resources to aid in the teaching of those topics. 

7.   Explain required skills in becoming an effective physics teacher during the practice teaching in a classroom environment.
