Course Objectives

This course aims to provide advanced level knowledge in the structure-property-performance relationship of materials. At the end of this course, student should be capable of:

  • Assessing how differences in physical and chemical properties of different classes of materials influence their engineering use,
  • Predicting suitable class of materials for extreme applications

Course Content

Advanced topics in material science and engineering. Physical, chemical and mechanical properties of metal, ceramics, polymers and composites.
