Course Objectives
To learn the basics of geochemistry
To understand the major drivers of marine sedimentary geochemical composition
To establish links between biotic and abiotic processes that shape marine geochemical cycles
To learn sedimentary isotopic geochemical and biomarker proxies for paleoceanography
Course Content
Principal geochemical cycles and processes in the hydrosphere and lithosphere, radiometric dating.
