Course Objectives


Course Content

This course is intended to provide an introductory examination of the subject of International Political Economy (IPE). In this context, first, the basic concepts and issues of international economics; and second, the development of thought about the relationship between international politics and international economics is covered in the lectures and discussion. Syllabus: Issues of Political Economy; Mercantalism; Liberalism; Marxism; the dynamics of IPE; World Economy vs. International Economy; Power in the World Economy; Structures of Power in the World Economy: the security structure, the production structure, financial structure, knowledge structure.
