Course Objectives
- To understand basic concepts of experimentation.
- To develop statistical design of experiments for statistical inference, empirical model building and optimization purposes.
- To analyze data collected from designed experiments.
Course Content
The way in which information is used in inference making will be discussed by covering linear statistical models, multiparameter hypotheses, incomplete block designs. Random and mixed models.(R)
Course Learning Outcomes
The students are able to:
- treat control and noise factors properly in design of experiments
- choose the most appropriate size and structure for the experiment
- collect data for planned analysis properly
- analyze data for statistical inference
- analyze data for emprical model building
- analyze data for optimization
