Course Objectives

The course sets out to:

  • offer practical experience in usability and user experience testing;
  • develop skills in planning and conducting user tests;
  • provide training in data collection, coding, analysis, results evaluation, and insight generation;
  • support the communication of usability and UX research findings through appropriate reporting.

On completing the course, students will be able to:

  • plan and carry out usability tests in laboratory and/or field settings using recognised methods and techniques;
  • observe, record, and code user interactions systematically;
  • analyse usability and UX data to generate actionable insights and design recommendations;
  • produce a clear and structured usability and user experience report.
