Course Objectives
This course has the basic aim of giving introductory level information to the students in the field of comparative government by looking at four representative countries of the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Russia.
Course Content
This course provides a conceptual introduction to the field of Comparative Government. After briefly analyzing the legislative, executive and judiciary branches of government, it studies the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Russian Federation.
Course Learning Outcomes
The students are expected to be able to distunguish among the three main executive models of presidential, parliamentary and semi-presidential systems, as well as know about the legislative, executive and judicial systems of four countries.
