Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the student will learn:

- basic concepts of posttranslational processing

- basic posttranslational events

- molecular mechanisms of posttranslational processing,

- current literature on posttranslational processing.

 


Course Content

In-depth analysis of post-translational modifications (PTMs); detailed coverage of signaling pathways involved in PTMs; examination of the effects of PTMs in cellular process; analysis of de-regulated PTM processes in disease state.


Course Learning Outcomes

The student will have gained the skills:

- to develop biological hypotheses and possible approaches to test them,

- to access scientific information on posttranslational processing in physiology and pathophysiology
