Course Objectives
This course is a continuation of 273 Second Foreign Language II. It aims at further developing student s reading and oral skills. Authentic texts of different genres will be studied in order to focus on more complex grammatical structures and advanced level vocabulary items. Student are expected to make short oral presentations, produce role-plays, watch short extracts of movies in the target language and participate in simple discussions on a related topic in class and write letters and e-mails of greeting, complaint, response etc., diary entries and short paragraphs and essays. Further insights into the target culture and life style will be given through authentic classroom materials and research tasks.

After completing this course students should be able to:
1.Use longer and more complicated phrases and sentences about their life, jobs, families, friends
2. Write short letters, e- mails, pharagraphs about current issues
3.Understand short texts with a complicated structure
4. Understand clearly spoken listening audios, films etc.
