Course Objectives
To be able to:
- Understand and apply Kirchoff’s laws and other circuit analysis tools.
- Understand capacitors and inductors and be able solve first and second order dynamic circuits.
- Perform phasor analysis on circuits containing capacitors and inductors.
- Understand operational amplifiers.
- Deal with AC circuits.
Course Content
Lumped circuits: Kirchhoff`s laws, basic lumped elements, circuit graphs, circuit equations, linear and nonlinear resistive circuits, first and second order dynamic circuits. Introduction to operational amplifier circuits.
Course Learning Outcomes
Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to apply different circuit analysis tools to analyze different types of circuits including a mixture of resistors, capacitors, inductors, current sources, voltage sources and operational amplifiers.
