Course Objectives
Introducing the fundamental problems and their respective solutions in machine vision area
Course Content
Image Formation and Image Sensing, Binary Images and their Geometrical and Topological Properties, Region and Image Segmentation, Edge and Corner Detection, Photometric Stereo, Shape from Shading, Motion Field and Optical Flow, Photogrammetry and Stereo
Course Learning Outcomes
- Introducing image formation paradigms, such as camera Models, optics, sensors, calibration, radiometry and color.
- Examining early vision problems and solutions, such as image enhancement, feature extraction and optical flow estimation.
- Understanding mid-level vision including image segmentation, object tracking and multi-view geometry.
- Introducing high-level vision through learning-based algorithms.
