Course Objectives
To develop the basic group counseling skills and apply them in different group settings; to develop effective group leadership characteristics and group leadership skills; and to gain practical experience in leading counseling groups
Course Content
Opportunity for advanced students to obtain practical experience in group counseling. Each student is required to carry out at least 10 group sessions under supervision.
Course Learning Outcomes
Each student will participate in 10-12 group counseling sessions with the post-graduate counseling students. The student will be the leader in at least one of these sessions. The leader will be responsible for video-recording the session and submit the video type to the instructor. The student and instructor will examine the video-recording and the instructor will give feedback to the student as a leader. Following interview will be planned accordingly.
