Course Objectives
The main objective of this course is to improve the capacity of students in data preparation and analysis. This includes different stages such as entering data, preparing data for analysis, selection of appropriate techniques for data presentation and analysis. Furthermore, the course aims to make students competent in using SPSS.
Course Content
Codebook preparation, data entry, data screening and cleaning, descriptive analysis, scale reliability, statistic selection, correlation, multiple regression, logistic regression, factor analysis, chi-square, and ANOVA will be covered throughout the course.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students who pass the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- use SPSS for data entry, code book preparation and analysis purposes
- clean and prepare data for statistical analysis in planning issues
- select appropriate techniques for data presentation and analysis
