Course Objectives

By the end of this course the students will be able to

  • know concepts d-metal complexes and electronic structure and properties,
  • coordination chemistry, reactions of complexes and
  • d-metal organometallic chemistry

Course Content

Electronic spectra of complexes, Reaction Mechanism of d-Block Complexes, d-and-f- Block Organometallic Compounds, Catalysis.

By the end of this course the students will be able to

  • comprehend  d-metal complexes and electronic structure and their properties
  • predict reaction mechanism of coordination complexes
  • comprehend d-metal organometallic compounds, their stability, d-block carbonyls, different inorganic ligands, their bonding and reactions
