Course Objectives
By the end of this this course, the students will be able to carry out basic biochemical techniques in laboratory.
Course Content
The experiments in this course have been designed to provide the students with basic experience in a wide variety of biochemical research techniques. Chemical and enzymatic analysis are performed using calorimetric, potentiometric, electrophoretic, pectrochometric and chromatographic techniques.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
-prepare buffer
-determine protein amount
-run column chromatography
-run SDS gel electrophoresis
-carry out basic enzyme activity determinations
-isolate and characterize DNA.
