A condensed (one-semester) course for non-biology students. Offered both semesters.

By the end of the course the students will be able to
- Understand the Biological diversity
- describe the general structures of biological macromolecules
- list the cellular organelles
- understand the cell cycle and cell division events
- list the rules governing the transmission of characters from generation to generation
- understand the genetic code and changes of this code and their consequences
- Understand how organisms interact with each other and with their environment
- Understand the fermentation process and the products of this event
- explain the different processes in the evolution of populations
