A condensed (one-semester) course for non-biology students. Offered both semesters.

  • Understand the Biological diversity
  • describe the general structures of biological macromolecules
  • list the cellular organelles
  • understand the cell cycle and cell division events
  • list the rules governing the transmission of characters from generation to generation
  • understand the genetic code and changes of this code and their consequences
  • Understand how organisms interact with each other and with their environment
  • Understand the fermentation process and the products of this event
  • explain the different processes in the evolution of populations
