Course Objectives


Course Content

Designed for Ph.D. students specializing in architectural history; covering general patterns in architectural historiography and a critical overview of the history of the built environment; survey of recent theoretical debates and current issues in architectural historiography for the requisite knowledge and research tools in an advanced level; evaluation of selected works of architectural historiography exemplifying various methodological approaches and interpretive frameworks. Students are led to engage in a hands-on exercise of developing methods and doing research.
