Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, the students will learn:

the legal framework of intranational and international laws within which businesses operate on a global scale,

the legal concepts and the way in which such concepts are dealt with in Turkey and other jurisdictions,

business contracts and commercial samples of documents


Course Content

This course is the continuation of ADM.495 Administration of Turkish Foreign Policy I


Course Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Examine the legal aspects of contracts, including formation, performance, breach, and remedies, in the context of commercial transactions, and apply this knowledge to real-world business scenarios

• Evaluate the laws and regulations related to intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, and their importance for businesses in protecting their creative works and inventions

• Assess the legal issues involved in secured transactions, bankruptcy, and other aspects of commercial law, and their impact on businesses and individuals

• Identify and analyze the ethical considerations and professional responsibilities of businesses and legal professionals in the context of commercial law, and the importance of maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism in business transactions
