Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students should have a knowledge about

- basic biological and biochemical process which they face with in the analyses of biological/biochemical high dimensional datasets,

-  fundamental statistical methods in hypothesis testing and inference methods used in various modelling approaches,

-  detailed knowledge about the analysis of microarray data and related statistical approaches,

-  different statistical methods performed in the analyses of various networks and their elements,

- visualization tools and relevant databases for biological networks, microarrays and sequence alignments.

Students will also have gained practical experience on these matters through term project and presentation.
