Course Objectives

The students will understand the importance of educational research

The students will identify the characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research design

The students will design and implement a research design.

 

 


Course Content

Research skills and related competences involved in planning conducting and reporting of applied research studies of the type needed for prospective teachers.


Course Learning Outcomes

Describe and discuss the meaning and basis of conducting an educational research

Compare and contrast the basic characteristics of  research design.

Understand and discuss the importance of research problem, research question, and purpose statement.

Understand and discuss the characteristics of the literature review

Design and implement data collection tools for hypothetical and real situations

Report and evaluate the results of a conducted research study
