Course Objectives

The industrial psychology course is designed to give you an overview of the field of Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology and its applications. The lectures and corresponding readings focus on the study of job performance and workplace behaviour. 


Course Content

This course provides a general overview of industrial psychology. Topics, such as methods used in the science and practice of industrial psychology, job analysis, criterion development, personnel selection, placement and training, and performance appraisal are covered with the purpose of providing a foundation in both theoretical and applied areas of the field.


Course Learning Outcomes

 Students are expected to evaluate, compare and discuss the basic theories in the field of I/O Psychology and apply these psychological principles to different industrial and organizational settings.
