Course Objectives
This unit is concerned with human development and its physical, cognitive and social aspects. In particular, this course focuses on the periods of adolescence, middle adulthood and late adulthood as well as issues pertaining to the latter parts of life including death and bereavement. It is aimed that students compelting this course will have awareness of these issues in the context of human development as they relate to counselling issues.

A student successfully completing this unit should have a good grasp of issues that pertain to adolescence and later stages of human development by means of attending and actively participating lectures and a literature review of a specific topic presented towards the end of semester.
