Course Objectives

1. Will expand knowledge of health psychology 

2. Will develop skills to conduct well-designed experiment

3. Will develop scientific writing skills

4. Will develop mastery at dealing with issues in all steps of research 


Course Content

This course aims to offer masters and PhD students the opportunity to design and conduct a small projector and/or write and submit a scientific article to a scholarly journal. The course also provides a framework about how to prepare a scientific article or research on a specific area of specialization.


Course Learning Outcomes

1. a. Focuses on two or three specific areas that are of particular interest to themselves

1. b. Further develops their skills as a critical reader of psychological research

2. a. Chooses appropriate research papers with respect to the arguments that were suggested

2. b. Designs an experiment that would deal with the arguments suggested 

2. c. Suggests appropriate statistical analyses to test the arguments suggested

3. a. Lays out the argument in the opening section of the paper

3. b. Presents information with an apparent direction

3. c. Clearly structures the method section

3. d. Appropriately presents the findings 

3. e. Discusses the findings thoroughly

3. f. Conform to the APA writing standards
