Course Objectives
Course Content
This course is designed to provide students with a broad background in positive psychology by covering such topics as subjective and psychological well-being; importance of having a positive affective outlook, and positive interpersonal relationships; optimism, hope, and self-efficacy; the interplay between positive affect and cognitive processes; optimal experiences involving mindfulness, flow, and creativity; authenticity, wisdom, courage, compassion, empathy, altruism, gratitude, forgiveness, positive responses to ´loss´, and spirituality. A cross-cutting theme of the course involves self- and context-related differences in the issues considered.
