Course Objectives

The course will help students to evaluate individualistic aspects of social psychology more critically.

The course will heip students to interparate qualitative research methods in social psychology.

The course will help students to understand the consequences of agenda setting via the media.

 


Course Content

The course will introduce students with the modern European tradition of research in social psychology. The content analysis of the information circulating in the society is essential, in particular the analysis of media output and its involvement in processes of social influence and social change. Thus, it should be of considerable interest to those who are also interested in the social psychology of the media.


Course Learning Outcomes

The students will identfy social representations from other social cognitive concepts in Social Psychology.

The students will be understand how common representations are developed.

The students will be provided with the applications of qualitative techniques.
