Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- basic concepts used in conceptualization and practice of psychotherapy supervision
- psychotherapy supervision skills with an emphasis on countertransference
- the evaluation of supervision process and psychotherapist's progress.
- ethical dilemmas and legal issues inherent in the psychotherapy supervision process
Course Content
Review of theory and research relevant to conceptualization and practice of clinical supervision; understanding and developing psychotherapy supervision skills with an emphasis on countertransference; discussion on the ethical dilemmas and legal issues inherent in the psychotherapy supervision process.
Course Learning Outcomes
Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- formulate different plans to supervise the psychotherapists with different personality charactheristics
